Aghanistan Skate School

I thought this video brought together all the interests of the Grade 3/4s this year.  After our great work on our Afghanistan Project and the huge interest in skateboarding in our grade as well, this brings together a lot!  It might be something we look into getting involved in for next year.  This is a very inspirational video about an amazing school and amazingly talented young girls who are being educated and learning to skate at the same time, I would LOVE that too! Wouldn’t you?

How do you think we could help out next year?

What was similar or different about your school day?

  2. Great video – thank you for sharing. It is not the image that we in the Western world have of Afghanistan at all, and wonderful to see that there are amazing projects which can help Afghani girls to experience sport and have access to education as well. I’ll be interested to see what work you do next year.
